About 5Tag
Hi, I’m Martin Garcia, owner of 5Tag Woodworks.
My introduction to construction started as a teenager, working on both residential and commercial projects. What fascinated me most wasn’t just the work, but seeing a set of plans on paper become something real. I enjoyed being part of that process and watching an idea take shape from the ground up.
That same passion is what eventually led me to custom cabinetry.
What I love about cabinetry is that it combines beauty and function. A well-built cabinet isn’t just something that’s nice to look at, but something people use every day. It’s part of the way a home works and feels. I take pride in creating pieces that are designed for the way my clients live while also adding character and craftsmanship to their space.
The name 5Tag is deeply personal to me. I am one of 5 children, and family has always been the center of my life. The olive tree in the logo was chosen intentionally. Its roots represent family, foundation, and the values that keep us grounded. The branches symbolize growth, opportunity, and moving forward together while staying connected to where we came from. The circle surrounding the tree represents unity, continuity, and the relationships that hold everything together.
These same values guide how I approach my work.
To me, good cabinetry starts with listening. Every project begins with understanding what the homeowner wants and how they will use the space. From there, attention to detail matters. Quality matters. Taking shortcuts may be faster, but it isn’t the way I work. I believe in doing things correctly, using quality materials, and building pieces that are made to last.
My goal is simple: to create cabinetry that is beautiful and functional, built with care, and tailored to the people who will use it every day.
